Pontedera have been hit with a €500 fine for each of the 23 players present at the match, totaling €11,500. The punishment was handed down by a sports judge, Stefano Palazzi, who ruled that the players had violated an article of the sports code by engaging with the angry fans for an extended period and complying with their demands.

The incident began when the team's ultras group in the north stand, Diego Savelli, protested against the side's performance, calling for players to be held accountable. After a heated confrontation, lasting at least 10 minutes, the ultras insisted the players remove their jerseys as they were unworthy of wearing them. The players complied, handing over their shirts to the fans.
