Milan, Italy – Giovanni Trapattoni, the iconic football figure, marked his 87th birthday surrounded by devoted Milan fans, a testament to a career defined by unparalleled success and unforgettable moments. Trapattoni's footballing journey was nothing short of spectacular. As a player for Milan from 1958 to 1971, he secured two Serie A titles, a Coppa Italia, and three European trophies, including two European Cups and a European Cup Winners' Cup. But it’s his managerial career that cemented his legendary status.

He coached numerous top clubs across Italy, Germany, Portugal, and Austria, amassing seven Serie A titles – six with Juventus – and the 1988-89 Inter Milan triumph, which saw them reach a record 58 points. His time with Juventus also included the tragic 1985 European Cup final at Heysel, a shadow that, while often glossed over, remains a part of his story.
