The 21-year-old, whose contract expires on June 30th with a contract extension offer from Hertha since autumn 2024, featured for 45 minutes in Hertha's U23 side's 1-0 defeat against Greifswalder FC on Tuesday. However, his prospects with the senior team appear dim, with coach Stefan Leitl stating Klemens will not be included in the squad for the upcoming match against VfL Bochum.

Leitl emphasized the need for a definitive decision from Klemens, highlighting that while the club has opened the door for a continued stay, the onus is now on the player to decide his future.
