Day 1B of the European Poker Tour Paris Main Event drew 838 new entrants, bringing the total to 1,417. The good news for Italian poker fans is that at least 25 will return for Day 2.

Netherlands' Mahersh Selvakumaran ended the day with a massive stack of 448,000 chips, the largest of the tournament so far.

Italian representation

Gianfranco Iaculli was the top Italian finisher, bagging 208,500 chips. While no one cracked the Day 1B top 10, the 25+ Italians still in the mix have plenty of reasons to be optimistic heading into Day 2.
