Swiss freestyle stars vie for coveted rookie honors
Switzerland's freestyle winter Sports scene is abuzz with anticipation as four of the country's brightest young talents vie for the coveted Freestyle Rookie of the Year award.

Four rising stars in the running
Chiara von Moos, a 20-year-old ski cross specialist, dominated the European Cup season with six wins. She also claimed two gold medals at the junior world championships in St. Moritz.
Timo Walser, a 21-year-old telemark athlete from SC Bühler, has firmly established himself in the elite world rankings. His standout performance this season was winning two junior world titles in Bardonecchia, taking gold in the sprint and parallel sprint events.
Noémie Wiedmer, an 18-year-old snowboard cross phenom from Bern, made her breakthrough this year. She claimed her first World Cup podium, finishing third in Erzurum, and also earned a 4th place at the Olympic Games in Livigno.
Mischa Zürcher, an 18-year-old halfpipe specialist, represents the new generation of Swiss freestylers. His most notable achievement was winning the bronze medal at the junior world championships in Calgary.
The winner of the Freestyle Rookie Award will be decided by an expert jury, tasked with selecting the most impressive newcomer from this talented group.
