Title: De Rossi Impressed by Como's Strength After Genoa Defeat

Genoa manager Daniele De Rossi spoke candidly after his side's 4-1 loss at home to Como, their third defeat in three games under the former Italy international. Despite the heavy defeat, De Rossi was impressed by the quality of Fabio Liverani's Como team, acknowledging they were the strongest side he has faced.

"We did things properly, we stayed in the game, but we never felt we could get back into it," De Rossi told Dazn. "Against a team like that, you have to be perfect for 90 minutes. They are the strongest team I have seen, they impressed me."

De Rossi was particularly stung by the third goal, admitting he would like to watch the play again. "It has never happened to me before that I was hoping we would not concede another goal," he said.

The Genoa boss remained confident in his players, however, insisting they have the ability to turn their fortunes around. "Sometimes you get angry with the referee, other times with yourself, sometimes the others are better than you," he reflected. "These players are on another level. I stick with my group: they have it in them to get the points we need."

De Rossi acknowledged that the fixture list has not been kind to his team, but he remains optimistic that the support of the Genoa fans will be a key factor in their quest for points. "The fans understand us, they are inside this stadium, which will be fundamental in getting the points I am convinced we will get," he said.
