Jenal announces season halt after injury setback
Jenal, who had recently returned to racing after a significant injury last winter, confirmed the news on Instagram, stating that her knee and muscles are not yet ready for the demands of competitive skiing. She’s currently undergoing rehabilitation at the Sportzentrum Magglingen.
“Psychologically, it’s very difficult to accept that my knee and muscles are not yet ready to withstand the full strain of ski racing, and that I have to take a break and undergo further rehabilitation,” Jenal wrote in her post.
The athlete is fully committed to her recovery. She aims to return to competition at full strength next season. The delay is a heavy blow to Jenal's aspirations, particularly as she was regaining momentum after a period of recovery.
This isn't the first hurdle in Jenal's career. The speed skating world watches closely as she battles to regain her form. The recovery process will be lengthy and demanding.
RSC Suter shared a video update on Jenal's rehabilitation, offering a glimpse into her dedication to getting back on the ice.
Her determination is evident, but the road to full recovery will be long. Jenal’s resilience will be tested as she strives to return to the top of the sport.
