Sosa soars solo in turkish thriller, seizes lead
Columbian climber Iván Ramiro Sosa unleashed a devastating ascent to snatch the solo win in the third stage of the 2026 Tour of Turkey, catapulting himself to the top of the general classification.

Sosa's kerm fling
The 132.7km trek from Marmaris to the 9km high-altitude finish in Kiran proved a perfect platform for Sosa to showcase his prowess. As the pack tackled the final, 9.7% ascent, the Kern Pharma rider sensed his moment and attacked with 4.8km to go.
Sebastian Berwick of Caja Rural-Seguros RGA and Nicolas Breuillard of Total Energies were the only ones able to bridge the gap, but Sosa's relentless pace saw them drop back, securing a hard-fought solo victory for the Colombian.
This triumph marks Sosa's first win since the 2022 Tour of Langkawi with Movistar Team, and arrives as his first with Kern Pharma, the Spanish WorldTeam he joined in 2025.
Tomorrow, the 28-year-old will defend his overall lead on a challenging 180.7km stage featuring 2,587m of climbing. The day begins in Patara before finishing in Kemer.
