Lausanne-ouchy's luxury problem: unfilling cup final tickets

Swiss football club FC Stade Lausanne-Ouchy is gearing up for the biggest match in their history, but they're facing an unusual challenge - a large allocation of Cup Final tickets that risk going unused.

Lausanne-Ouchy qualified for the Swiss Cup Final against FC St Gallen thanks to a recent win over GC. However, the smaller club is struggling with the prospect of filling the Wankdorf Stadium in Bern, which can seat 12,500 fans.

To avoid being drowned out by the home team's colors, Lausanne-Ouchy has launched a ticket offensive. All Waadtländer children and youth aged 6-16 will receive free tickets, thanks to a sponsor covering the costs.

Younger kids will enjoy free entry as usual, while adults in relevant sectors will pay 60 francs. If the initiative fails to yield the desired results, the club will return part of the allocated tickets to the Swiss Football Association, which could benefit FC St Gallen fans seeking tickets.
