Fantasy Football Week 4: Pittman Jr. vs. Godwin Jr. – Who to Play?
Two underperforming wide receivers, Pittsburgh Steelers’ Michael Pittman Jr. and Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Chris Godwin Jr., are drawing fantasy football attention heading into Week 4. Both have struggled to deliver consistent production through the first few games of the 2026 season, prompting questions about their value to fantasy managers.
Pittman Jr. – A Slow Start
Pittman Jr., in his first season outside of the Indianapolis Colts, has yet to showcase encouraging performance. Through two games, he’s amassed just five receptions for 74 yards. He’ll face the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football, a team allowing the 15th most passing yards per game (224.0) and recently limiting opposing wide receivers to modest fantasy scores. While the Browns have shown an ability to contain WRs, Pittman Jr. needs a strong performance to turn around his disappointing start.

Godwin Jr. – Declining Snap Share
Godwin Jr.’s fantasy outlook has worsened recently. Following a Week 2 performance as WR33 in PPR formats, his snap share dropped significantly in Week 3, falling to just 62% due to injury to Buccaneers WR3 Jalen McMillan. His previous best fantasy week saw him as WR40 in PPR against the Browns. He now faces the Green Bay Packers, a team currently allowing the 11th fewest passing yards per game (202.0), but with a history of giving up big fantasy performances.

Recent Trends
The Browns have recently struggled to contain top wide receivers, as evidenced by Emeka Egbuka’s 16 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 and Bryce Tremayne’s 83 yards and WR34 finish in Week 3. Conversely, Green Bay has demonstrated the ability to allow significant fantasy points to opposing wide receivers, as seen in Week 1 with the Minnesota Vikings’ WR1 posting a strong performance.
