Uppsala, Sweden – Armand Duplantis has once again redefined the bar, setting a new world record in pole vaulting for the 15th time at the Mondo Classic. The 26-year-old Swedish athlete cleared 6.31 meters in the opening attempt, once again demonstrating dominance over the competition.

The atmosphere in Uppsala was electric as “Mondo” delivered yet another breathtaking performance. Duplantis, who has been undefeated in 43 consecutive competitions, expressed his pride in representing his home country. “This is our home. And you know that every time I step on the runway, I represent you. And I do it with great pride,” he stated after his latest display of athleticism. His previous record of 6.30 meters was set in September 2025 at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.

The challenge came from Greece’s Emmanouil Karalis, who earlier in the week jumped 6.17 m, climbing to second on the all-time world list. However, Karalis faltered, failing to clear 6.08 meters. Duplantis secured the meet victory with his opening jump of 6.08 m, immediately raising the bar to 6.31 m. Karalis, along with other competitors and his fiancée Desire Inglander, celebrated the feat.

Duplantis has held the world record since 2020, when he first soared to 6.17 meters. His consistent success underscores the evolution of the sport and his position as its undisputed leader. The jump of 6.31m is not just a personal best, but a statement of intent.

The performance is a testament to years of dedication and refinement, a relentless pursuit of perfection that has cemented Duplantis’s place in athletic history. He’s not just clearing heights; he’s redefining what’s possible.
