Dalke's pga tour debut turns nightmarish at rocket classic

YouTube star Brad Dalke's highly anticipated PGA Tour debut quickly turned disastrous at the Rocket Classic. The 28-year-old, who received a sponsor's exemption into the event, shot an 11-over 81 in the opening round at Detroit Golf Club, finishing one stroke ahead of only Alejandro Tosti.

Dalke's round unravels with triple bogey

The former University of Oklahoma standout, who finished runner-up at the 2016 U.S. Amateur, unraveled quickly on the back nine. He bogeyed two of the first three holes before a triple bogey on the par-5 14th hole effectively ended any hopes of a competitive round.

Starting at the 10th, Dalke hooked his tee shot into the left rough on the 14th, leading to a lost ball. He hacked three times from the tee, then found the fescue again with his second drive. A 60-yard chip and a two-putt from 44 feet later, Dalke carded an eight on the hole.

Things only got worse from there. A double bogey on the 17th and several more bogeys scattered throughout the round left Dalke at 11 over, a staggering 20 strokes behind leader Peter Malnati's 9-under 61.

A tough night for Dalke wasn't met with disappointment from his peers in the YouTube golf community.
