Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker (#9) did not participate in practice on Tuesday due to a foot issue. While not necessarily a major concern given Walker's history of missing practice time, the Chiefs are likely being cautious with their expected bellcow back.

Walker's Fantasy Outlook Remains Bright

Reports from training camp suggest a favorable situation for fantasy managers. According to Rotoworld, the Chiefs have been utilizing Walker extensively, making him a primary target in the screen game and red zone. He signed a three-year, $40.05 million contract this offseason and is expected to be a key player in Andy Reid’s offense.

Unlike recent years, the Chiefs don't appear to be rotating backs frequently, potentially raising Walker’s fantasy ceiling. He is already projected as a potential top-12 fantasy running back and could be in line for a career year if his training camp usage translates to the regular season.

Depth and Role Clarity in KC Backfield

Other running backs on the roster include Brashard Smith, who has already demonstrated his ability to be a weapon in space, and Emari Demercado, who provides depth. Rookie back Johnson could be the next man up if Walker misses time.
