Ogunleye misses medal in torun, anthony sprints to gold

In a tightly contested 60-meter sprint, Jordan Anthony emerged victorious at the 2026 World Indoor Championships in Torun, Poland, while Germany's Yemisi Ogunleye narrowly missed out on a medal.

Ogunleye's bid for bronze falls short

Ogunleye, the reigning Olympic shot put champion, finished fifth with a personal best throw of 19.46 meters, just 29 centimeters shy of the bronze medal. The 27-year-old had been a strong contender for the podium, but a subpar second jump cost her the opportunity to stand on the rostrum.
