Injury blow for ingolstadt as scholz and antzoulas sidelined
Fifth-place FC Ingolstadt 04 has suffered a significant blow with the news that key defenders Jonas Scholz and Georgios Antzoulas will miss out due to muscular injuries.

Injuries mount for ingolstadt
Both players hobbled off the pitch during the 1-2 home loss against VfL Bochum, leaving coach Sabrina Wittmann without two of her most reliable starters.
Scholz, a 27-year-old German, has been a mainstay at center-back this season, featuring in 27 of 31 matches and scoring twice. A product of Helmond Sport in the Netherlands, he returned to his Bavarian roots in July 2025.
Meanwhile, 26-year-old Greek international Antzoulas has quickly established himself as a first-choice defender since joining in January. He has started all eight of his appearances so far, earning a 2.88 kicker rating.
Wittmann will now have to rely on the likes of Jasper Maljojoki and Lukas Fröde to fill the void in defense, as Ingolstadt looks to maintain their top-half status in the 3. Liga.
