The Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) has once again captivated fans, delivering a record-breaking season for Magenta Sport.

Over 36.5 million viewers tune in

A staggering 23% increase in viewership compared to the previous record-breaking season saw more than 36.5 million fans watch the 406 games played throughout the 2025-2026 campaign.

The playoffs proved particularly popular, with over 10 million viewers tuning in for the decisive matches, averaging around 240,000 per game.

This impressive viewership not only reflects the DEL's enduring appeal but also the success of Magenta Sport in their role as the league's rights holder.

The current partnership between Telekom and the DEL remains in place until the end of the 2027-2028 season, with the new term set to kick off on September 17th.
