Baumgart and Dinges, a team since early 2024, will officiate the final, a significant milestone for both experienced referees. Baumgart, who previously held an international status with Sascha Wild, and Dinges, who recently moved up from the elite reserve group, have accumulated over 550 and 450 DHB (German Handball Federation) appearances respectively. Their first major collaboration was the 2025 semi-final at the men's DHB-Pokal final between MT Melsungen and HBW Balingen-Weilstetten.

This year's Haushahn Final4 introduces a fourth pairing in the semi-finals, a departure from previous tournaments which featured only three. Elite referees Marvin Cesnik/Jonas Konrad and Markus Kauth/Andre Kolb will be making their first appearance in the prestigious event. The change reflects a broader strategy to provide consistent high-level officiating across the women's Bundesliga.

Adding to the event's tradition, the "Breite trifft Spitze" (Broad Meets Top) event will take place alongside the tournament. This initiative, supported by the Baden-Württemberg Handball Association, offers a valuable platform for regional referees to connect with leading officials and delegates. Veteran referee Simon Reich, alongside Hanspeter Brodbeck, will lead the discussion, drawing on their extensive experience, including officiating the men's Pokal final in 2024.

The bronze medal match will be officiated by international referees Sophia Janz/Rosana Sug, while Frank Wenz, Jürgen Rieber, and Marc Fasthoff will serve as delegates. These seasoned officials bring a wealth of experience from various roles within the DHB refereeing system. The structure of the Haushahn Final4 2026 will be determined by the outcomes of this year's competition.

The shift to four pairings in the Final Four demonstrates the DHB's commitment to elevating the standard of officiating and providing opportunities for a wider range of referees to showcase their skills. This evolution promises a more dynamic and competitive tournament, reflected in the heightened anticipation surrounding the final showdown between Baumgart/Dinges and their rivals.
